About me.

I am the mother of seven remarkable and creative adults. I have worked as a volunteer in the church and non-profit world for more than thirty years as a teacher, mentor, board member, retreat leader, and writer. While learning many lessons in the summer as a camp cook in both a lakeside retreat center in the Upper Midwest and at a remote mountain village in Washington state, I earned a Master's in Religious Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from Missouri State University in 2009. I learned Greek at the same I taught my youngest daughter to read. More recently I completed a three year program through the Souljourners Program at the Sophia Center on the campus of Mt. St. Scholastica Monastery, in Atchison, KS.

My husband, Mike, and I live on a certified tree farm in the Ozarks. Together we enjoy five grandchildren, the fruits of our garden, and a rescue dog.
